I began this painting on May 7, 2023. It has undergone multiple changes since then, but the core idea has always remained the same: capturing the beauty of a woman looking at herself in the mirror. It reflects the thoughts that might run through her mind as she gazes at her own reflection—the questions, the doubts.

 

Am I good enough?

Good enough for whom?

Am I pretty enough?

Will anyone love me?

 

These are questions we might ask ourselves. But are they the questions she is asking herself?

 

I feel this painting invites contemplation. It certainly stirred many thoughts within me as I created it.
